As part of our international growth, MERIT is looking for an Education Manager, based in Sydney, to help build and execute our education and field strategies supporting our Australia operations. You will play a key role representing Merit with retailers and customers, providing feedback to the commercial teams and shaping the brands’ education framework.
Key responsibilities:
- Represent the brand as the primary point of contact for our retail partners (in-store and country level education teams), driving the in- store sales and trainings
- Create and deliver high impact education strategies and materials for in-store training sessions, train-the-trainers and any wider training opportunities
- Train and educate freelancers, agencies, and new hires on selling techniques, brand storytelling and in-store performance expectations to ensure consistent and impactful brand representation
- Develop effective store management and in store team relationships, that drive support, brand advocacy, and long term growth
- Develop a deep understanding of each store’s performance, customer profile, and opportunities to create tailored, store-by-store sales strategies that support the achievement of sales and KPI goals
- Achieve targeted sales growth, with all activities and initiatives aligned to achieving this core objective
- Take leadership with scheduling and managing in-store freelancers, including setting KPIs, daily store targets and measuring their success
- Plan and execute successful in-store events to boost brand visibility and increase sales, working closely with the international & global team to ensure alignment with brand guidelines
- Apply market knowledge and retail insights to identify and advise on in-store marketing initiatives that drive brand visibility and awareness
- Maintain strong communication and relationships across the internal business to ensure cross-functional alignment and prioritization of key initiatives, ensuring to participate in team meetings to strategies opportunities
- Support with submitting sales recaps, highlighting key success’s, challenges or key learnings
- Ensure in-store visual merchandising standards are consistently met, proactively identifying, escalating, and supporting the resolution of any merchandising issues
- Monitor and manage in-store stock levels to ensure accuracy and availability, proactively communicating with store and corporate teams to flag discrepancies and support timely resolution
- Assist with any additional eventing, training, and/or media opportunities that might require your support
Profile:
- Strong beauty training experience, including experience in field sales
- Proven success in executing in store sales and training strategies
- Excellent relationship building skills with team members and management at all levels
- Effective communication, negotiation and management skills
- Ability to analyze sales data and track performance results and insights
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Passion for the beauty industry
- Flexibility on working schedule, plus full weekends as needed, with
- travel flexibility
