MERIT is hiring for an experienced Regional Sales and Education Executive – Southeast to join our rapidly expanding team. This role is responsible for educating Sephora in-store staff about the MERIT story and assortment, driving brick-and-mortar sales, and developing local training and event strategies to drive performance.
The Regional Sales and Education Executive will work closely with the MERIT Education Management team, as well as our retail partners, to maximize consumer-facing initiatives and execute strategic in-store programs, events, and education. This role operates in a fast-paced environment and offers the opportunity to contribute to building a rapidly growing brand through strong in-store execution and partnership. We are seeking top talent based in the Atlanta area for this field-based role. MERIT is bicoastal with offices in New York City and Los Angeles.
Responsibilities
- Represent the MERIT brand and drive in-store sales and training within the designated territory
- Partner with management to create impactful, store-specific strategies and action plans aligned with business goals
- Plan and execute successful in-store events in alignment with brand guidelines
- Build strong relationships with store leadership and motivate in-store teams to drive engagement and sales
- Identify and negotiate opportunities to increase in-store visibility and sales performance
- Drive retail sales through side-by-side selling within the territory
- Participate in field team calls to strategize and identify growth opportunities
- Recruit, train, and schedule freelance talent to support business needs and maximize ROI
- Manage allocated freelance and T&E budgets effectively
- Achieve targeted territory sales growth within budgeted parameters
- Train cast, consultants, and freelancers on MERIT Beauty selling techniques
- Ensure in-store visuals and merchandising standards are consistently met
- Partner with stores and corporate teams to optimize inventory, manage stock levels, and oversee necessary adjustments
- Submit weekly sales recaps for the assigned territory
- Maintain consistent in-store visit cadence while executing corporate education initiatives
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in the beauty industry
- 4+ years of in-store field sales experience within Sephora
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- End-to-end event planning experience with a demonstrated record of success
- Strong strategic thinking skills with the ability to translate plans into effective in-store execution
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Experience managing budgets effectively
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to work both collaboratively and autonomously with strong self-direction
- Agility and comfort working in a dynamic, fast-moving environment
- Passion for the beauty industry; makeup artistry skills are a plus
- Bilingual in Spanish or Portuguese strongly preferred
- Must be able to work a Tuesday through Saturday schedule, including some weekends based on business needs
- Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- This is a field-based role requiring regular travel within the Southeast region, primarily in the Atlanta market
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/transport product, tools, and event materials as needed
Compensation & Benefits
MERIT is proud to offer a comprehensive and competitive benefits package in addition to salary compensation. The annual salary range for this role is $75,000–$85,000, in addition to quarterly bonus potential, stock options, a 401(k) match, health benefits, paid time off, and more.
